- Reading Program/English Enrichment -
Customized one on one goal oriented programwith a maximum child teacher ratio of 3:1.Level 1- Phonetics (Beginners-3-5 years)
- Introduction to 42 phonemes (letter sounds of the alphabet)
- Blending letter sounds to read single syllable words.
- Verbal self expression in good English.
- Picture based composition
- Phonetics - short and long vowel sounds, digraphs, diphthongs, blends to facilitate reading compound words and difficult words comfortably.
- Spelling rules using phonetics for a good foundation in spelling
- Vocabulary development and reading comprehension.
- Introduction to grammar.
- Advanced and intensive courses in grammar.
- Vocabulary enhancement, mind mapping, composition exercises to facilitate self expression in good English.
- Creative Writing.
- Advanced reading comprehension to sharpen the child's thinking skills, to draw second order conclusions and develop reasoning ability.
- Corrective reading techniques if required.
- Corrective spelling techniques if required.
- Corrective grammar if required.
The child spends2- 3 hours per week on this program. Each session lasts for 1 hour . The timing vies from child to child as these are very small group classes of usually 2-3 children only. It is a highly customised program that is designed for each child. The admission process for this program is through a written and verbal assessment .
