1. Kandinsky Art Appreciation Lesson :
Learn about the work of Wassili Kandinsky an abstract painter and make your own project using his style .
On : 5/3/2013 @5 P.M
For : 3-10 year olds
2.Glass Foil Painting :
Make a glass painting using aluminium foil .
On : 5/3/2013 @6 P.M
For : 8-16 year olds
3.RAINBOW FISH - A story on making friends and sharing
Participate in a fun story telling session with movement exercises and a cute little art project on fishes .Learn the values of sharing and making friends.
On : 6/3/2013 @6 P.M
For : 3-8 year olds
A month long program -"Speak Well" is starting on April 6'th . This program aims at building communication skills and achieving overall personality development in 8-12 years ( Level 1) and 13-16 years (Level 2)
This program will be held on weekends only from 4:00-5:30 P.M .

This weekend at Books n More
The following workshops are lined up for this weekend and early April :
1. Splatter Painting
Children explore the world of colours with Toothbrushes and stencils to create unique splatter painted designs with Rajashri Aunty. For 3-8 year olds on 29/3/13 at 5 P.M
2.CANDLEMAKING
This basic class on candle making covers melting,mixing, adding colour , planting the wick and decorating a candle with Anjali Aunty. For Ages 7-14 years on 29/3/13 at 6 P.M
3.Around the Country in 25 stories :
Stories and Folktales from Mizoram and Nature Time Yoga to resonate with the hills ,jungles and animals of the North East. For Ages 4-10 years on 30/3/13 from 5-6:30 P.M
4.What's the Good Word
A Vocabulary game -part of Mind GYM Series on 30/3/13 at 6:30 P.M for 7-14 year olds with Ramya Aunty.
5.Read Smart
A unique reading comprehension program for ages 7-14 years.Learn verbal self expression of facts, summarisation techniques,comprehension skills including mind mapping.
Starting from 1/4/2013-13/4/2013 - 10 day program by Ms Sujatha Ashwin
6.Beginner Tamil Course
Learn basics of the Tamil Alphabet , reading words and sentences and writing . For Ages 6-14 years. 45 day course starting from 1/4/2013. Course Facilitor: Ms Kavitha

This week at Books n More
We are running the following workshops this week :
1. Diction Classes ( till March 26'th) for 6-9 year olds . Every evening from 4-5 P.M. This workshop aims to improve pronunciation skills and work on training the child's voice and modulation through read out loud exercises .Classes by Ms Gurpreet Ghosh.
2. World Sparrow Day (March 20'th ) and World Wildlife Day (March 21'st ) celebrations on March 21'st . Facilitators- Ms Anuradha Vinod (Forest Dept Education Officer) and Ms Rama Menon ( Nature Friends Forever society )
The interactive session seeks to build awareness among children in teh age group of 4-16 years on diverse wildlife in India , ideas for conservation and preservation of natural habitat. There will be an interactive Mother and Child Quiz with attractive prizes to be won!
3. Kriti NGO is holding an exhibition cum sale of quilts , bed spreads and handloom textiles from 21/3/2013-23/1/2013.
4.Origami Fun - An introductory Origami workshop for 4-14 year olds from 5-6 P.M on 22/3/2013 .The children will be making an origami crown and a bird.Workshop by Ms Himani Mahadevan.
5. 3-D Ceramic Clay Mural making workshop
This 3 day workshop will be held from 22/3/2013-24/3/2013 at 6 P.M
In this workshop ,participants will learn to make 3-D Ceramic Clay Mural Wall Decor on a Wood Base . This workshop will be facilitated by Ms Anjali .
6. "Is your child eating right?" - A Nutrition workshop for parents and children covering aspects of Nutrition Requirements , optimal meal planning and encouraging healthy food choices.This workshop will be facilitated by Ms Suhasini Mudraganam ( Nutritionist ) -Parent Facilitator
Ms Ramya Narayanan( Theatre trainer )- Children Facilitator .
