The following workshops have been lined up this weekend :


1. Workshop : Science Toy Making Class- Make a "Jitterbug" and learn the principle of how friction and gravity work hand in hand to create this interesting toy that you make on your own. This workshop is meant for 5-14 year olds With Ms Raji- Toy Making Coordinator and Ms Varsha- Science Coordinator.

Date and Time: Friday 31'st January 2014 . From 5-6:30 P.M

2. Workshop : "Smart Reader "- a four session reading workshop for early readers in the age group of 4-7 years . This workshop is being conducted by Ms Anuradha Vinod . Children will be learning word families through games,worksheets and mini books.

Date and Time: From Saturday 1'st February 2014 to February 22'nd  . From 4:30-6 P.M

Ages: 4-7 years

Fee: Rs 800 ( inclusive of materials )

3. Workshop : "Mind Gym" - Logical Puzzles to build mental ability for ages 9-16 years by Mr J Ramesh.
Date and Time: Saturday 1'st February 2014. From 5-6:30 P.M

The following workshops are being conducted this weekend

 at Books n More Library and Activity Centre:

Workshop :Tie and Dye Craft Time - Make a tiranga Bandana and wear it in style this Republic Day! This craft session is being conducted by Ms Anjali for children in the ages of 5-16 years .

Workshop : "Republic Day  Storytime session" with Ms Sujatha Ashwin for children in the ages of 4-9 years. Learn about the concept of " Republic" , "Constitution " etc through engaging stories and role play .

This weekend at Books n More- A field trip to a printing press; Ganesha CD Car/Wall hanging craft;Mehendi workshop

The following workshops have been lined up this week at Books n More,Library and Activity Centre:

1. Workshop :" How things work- All about Printing " . This is an outbound workshop where we will be teaching the children about the history and relevance of printing, the science of printing and the different types. The children will be taken to a printing press in Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar where they will see the different types of machines in action and they will make their own screen printed bookmark. The session is being facilitated by Ms Anuradha Vinod at Mudrika Printers.For ages 5-16 years

Date and Time: 18/1/2014 . From 3:30-6:30 P.M

2. Workshop- "Ganesha CD Craft- Make a colourful wall / car hanging " in Craft time.For ages 5-16 years by Ms Rajashri

3.Workshop - The art of Mehendi with Ms Veena Jain for ages 7 years to adult . This workshop will be held for 6 Sundays . The participants will learn 3-4 styles of Arabic Mehendi and traditional motifs.

The following weekend workshops are being held at Books n More Library :

Workshop : Kite Making workshop with Mr Srikanth for ages 4-16 years. Learn to make colourful kites to fly this Sankranthi . For ages 4-16 years.

Date and Time: 10/1/2014 .From 5-6:30 P.M

Fee: Rs 150 per child( all materials inclusive).

Workshop : Junior Masterchef -Sankranthi Delights. This fireless cooking workshop will have the kids making Chocolate Pongal, Sugar cane candy man, Sweet Potato tikkis,til -jaggery balls and much more! For ages 4-16 years.

Date and Time: 11/1/2014 .From 5-6:30 P.M

Fee: Rs 200 per child( all materials inclusive).

Workshop : Watercolour Painting ( for ages 8 and above) and Soft Pastel Art ( for ages 4 -8 years ) will be taught as a part of our art curriculum from 12/1/13 onwards. Presently art classes are being held on Thursdays from 5-6:30 and Sundays from 10:30-12 noon( Juniors)and 11:30-1 P.M (seniors).

Fee :Rs 500 p.m (Only Thursday/Sunday batch ) and Rs 1000 ( for both Thursday and Sunday batch)

    2. Workshop - "Junior Master Chef "- Chocolate Delights .Join Ms Anuradha Vinod in this fun filled workshop for ages 4-16 years to make "Kinderjoy", Chocolate Pudding, Triple Layer Chocolate Cake; Chocolate Golgappas and many more!

• Date and Time: 21/12/2013 from 5-6:30 P.M

• Fee- Rs 200 ( Inclusive of all materials ). Children to bring an apron( it's going to get messy !) and a tiffin box to take home goodies!

  3. Workshop : Theatre Workshop for ages 7-16 years with Ms Gurpreet Ghosh . Learn to overcome stage fear, improve your body language and diction and have lots of fun with theatre games in this two week winter theatre camp.Children will be staging a play on January 5'th .

5.Workshop : Oil Pastel Painting with Ms Indra L for ages 9 to adult .

• Date and Time: 30/12/2013 to 4/1/2014 .(1/1/2014 witll be a holiday for New Year ).Time:5-6:30 P.M

• Fee: Rs 1000 per person(Participants to bring A3 Size Canvas and Oil Colours).

Kathak Classes and weekend activities at Books n More- Christmas Tree Ornament Making;Stories of Freedom Fighters.

1. Kathak classes are starting from 14/12/13 onwards at Books n More , Library and Activity
    Centre. The classes are conducted by Ms Archana Misra , a kathak exponent from Bengaluru.
    The weekend classes will be held on Saturdays from 11 A.M to 12 Noon and on Sundays from
    5 P.M To 6 P.M . The classes are open to children in the age group of 4-16 years .
    Fee :Rs 800 p.m

2. Christmas Tree Ornament Making workshop

Join Ms Ranjani Chandran in this workshop to make colourful wooden Christmas tree ornaments . This class is open to 5-16 year olds.Date and Time: 5 P.M on 13/12/2013.Fee :Rs 150 per child

3. "Stories of Freedom Fighters"

Join Ms Anuradha Vinod on a patriotic journey to learn about the brave freedom fighters of India. Children in the age group of 4-14 years will  learn about India's freedom struggle, sing patriotic songs,&make a "Tiranga" Sandwich.Children are required to come dressed in white.

This weekend at Books n More

1. Terracotta Clay Painting- 6/12/2013 at 5 P.M

Learn to paint on smooth clay and make your own personalised money box in Craft Time with Ms Ranjani Chandran. All materials including the money boxes will be provided by us. This workshop is open to 5-16 year olds.

Fee : Rs 150 per child

2. Stories from Indian Mythology - Amar Chitra Katha Series - Session 5-7/12/13 AT 5 P.M

Hear stories from Indian Mythology and gems from classic Indian literature for children and then participate in an exciting treasure hunt that takes you through the stories that you have heard in class. This session is open to children in the age group of 4-9 years and is being conducted by Ms Anuradha Vinod.

Fee :Rs 150 per child

3. Make puppets using bags -9/7/2013 at 5 P.M

Colourful animals , monsters and princesses come to life in this exciting puppetry class with Ms Rajashri . For ages 5 years to adult.

Fee : Rs 200 per person.
